How to go about requesting to use stuff, the mischief way

So I need to use this xkcd strip in my next lecture entitled "Is the book dead?" at the university and figure that Randall Munroe, the creator of xkcd probably receives rather a lot of image use requests. Here's mine...

Dull request but I need to ask permission to use this cartoon on our Virtual Learning Environment and in a course on e-book readers. It just WORKS. Can I? Please?
