I wonder how it could it have happened to me
What I done to deserve this indignity
Holding firm to my beliefs and integrity
As I joined the queue for social security
I do what I want voluntarily
With narry a thought of gaining financially
My actions must benefit the cause of humanity
Whether or not it earns me money
But here is the harsh reality
There's no room for a pariah in a society
Where material wealth is valued over humility
and mindlessness automation over sobriety
